Poetry workshop

The famous Spanish poet Federico García Lorca once said that poetry does not need followers, but lovers!

In Hispania, escuela de español, we fully agree with his idea and that is the reason why we have created a wonderful poetry workshop so that those who love this art can really enjoy it.

Do I have to be an expert in poetry to attend these workshops?

Not at all! Our poetry workshops are organised for experts who want to remember the most beautiful Spanish poems and test their memory and knowledge, as well as those who want to start studying verse. Our aim is to spend a nice evening with other curious students while we learn important information about the essential poets of our culture and their beautiful and deep poems.

We will listen, discover, dream and think about them. Maybe some people will even stand up and recite one of their favourite poems or other written by themselves. Additionally, in this workshop we will address not only the best pieces of Spanish poetry, but also the Hispanic American one. We will speak about important writers such as García Lorca, Gloria Fuertes, the Machado Brothers, Adolfo Bécquer, Rosalía de Castro, Pablo Neruda, Octavio Paz and many more!
